Legend of Terra Online Review
It’s not difficult to find a slot with fantasy theme these days, but it may be a challenge to find one that’s both authentic, graphically advanced and generous. NeoGames made an attempt at this difficult task with its Legend of Terra slot online, and here’s how that went.
Legend of Terra Slot General Info
We suppose the main goal NeoGames had in mind was to make a successful mix of a 3D slot and an epic fantasy slot. Those two are very complementary, so here we get something between NetEnt’s “Rook’s Revenge” and Microgaming’s famous yet withdrawn “The Lord of the Rings” slots, set in a kingdom where a funny ogre is cheering you on, a wild dragon is spitting fire whenever it helps you win, and the imagery is that of typical LotR origin, with dwarf, hobbit, wizard and elf symbols. The reels are decorated with astonishing stone ornaments, and the Spin, Max Bet and Paytable buttons come in shape of a shining orb, a horse and a gargoyle, respectively. All this adds to the authentic feeling that NeoGames obviously wanted to achieve in Legend of Terra’s game.
On a less positive note, the graphics could use some sharpness, which would really make this five-reel, 20-payline title stand out from the crowd. Also, the whole process of spinning and awarding the prize is a bit too slow, so a Turbo button would come in handy.
In terms of wagers and payouts, Legend of Terra online slot offers quite a decent amount of options. You can spend from £0.01 to £10 per line, and you can pick the lines, too. However, the payouts are better on paper than in reality (as usual). The top paying symbol offers up to 10000x line bet, and the scatter gives maximum 500x total bet, but what you usually get are small prizes which in most cases can’t cover your bet.
Legend of Terra Game Special Features
The sophisticated design of the game didn’t truly reflect on its special features, especially the bonus round. But first things first. The most interesting creature in this fantastic kingdom is most certainly its wild dragon symbol, which not only replaces other regular symbols, but also awards a random multiplier when it does so. When that happens, this magnificent creature springs from the right-hand side of the reels and breathes fire in the ogre’s direction. Another frequent resident of epic fantasy stories, an Elf Queen, serves as a scatter which pays any.
Then, there’s the aforementioned bonus. Namely, three or more wizards activate a bonus round, which you’d expect to be more visually effective, engaging, or at least longer. In reality, it’s a brief pick-a-win game where you pick line bet multipliers until you hit a Stop sign.
Whether or not NeoGames was when producing Legend of Terra is up to players to decide. There are details that could be better, and that could have made this title more appealing, but generally, this 20-liner is quite decent, and much of it is owed to its pretty looks and effects.
